The South East Melbourne Phoenix is a professional basketball team based in Melbourne, Victoria, competing in the National Basketball League (NBL). Since entering the league in 2019, the Phoenix has quickly made a name for itself with an exciting brand of basketball and a strong connection to the South East Melbourne community, a region known for its deep basketball roots. The team plays home games at John Cain Arena and the State Basketball Centre, bringing fans an energetic and entertaining game-day experience.
Committed to inclusivity and community engagement, the Phoenix actively supports initiatives that promote diversity and accessibility in sport. The club works to create opportunities for all individuals to be involved in basketball, regardless of background or ability.
Since 2022, South East Melbourne Phoenix has partnered with The Inclusion Project and will continue this collaboration in the 2024/25 season.

Social Stories that illustrate how to navigate the venue or event, displayed through pictures in an easy to understand structure.

A lanyard to wear from arrival at the stadium to allow staff to recognise that you may require additional assistance throughout the event or matchday

Access to Sensory Friendly Space which is designed to provide sensory relief and stimulation for people living with sensory needs. Operated by Occupational Therapists to provide individualised support for participants.
